Oblivion's army has grown over the months. Originally they had Incognito's 66 SAS freaks. However, since Paul is one of them, and here he counts as a higher ranking soldier than the rest of them, he is not included in the main army count. Also, Oblivion managed to gather 236 humans who were willing to be turned into beast freaks and serve the main army rather than become ordinary freaks and being simple allies. The anime only freaks that Oblivion recruited are also not included in this count. How did Oblivion manage to get this many soldiers so fast? Well, as stated in the manga, there are very few people who can resist becoming vampires in the Hellsing universe. Also, Incognito, as shown in the TV series, is capable of creating large numbers of freaks very fast.

Even so, because of the fact that they are the youngest and least experienced organisation, obviously I couldn't give them a ridiculously large army, so they still have the smallest number of soldiers of all four organisations (Millennium-over a thousand, Iscariot/Vatican-over 3000, Hellsing/Alucard's familiars-too many to count). But, don't let that fool you. There'll be blood shed from all four organisations.

Also, the fact that they (now) have 300 soldiers in the main army and the fact that Helena is reading a book about the Battle of Thermopylae does NOT mean Oblivion will suffer the same fate as the Spartans.
