One of the hardest comic pages I ever had to draw, but I think it was worth it.
Yes, yes, yes, I know the Vatican Knights never used parachutes in the manga, but I just couldn't resist. As for the warrior priests, well, they can jump off high buildings and land unscathed so I assumed they wouldn't need parachutes.

Wow, epic page Fireheart! this is one of the best battle scenes I seen in a comic. Alucard is really going to go mental when he finds out what he has been missing. The Vatican knights must be very brave or suicidal to go parachuting inside a castle full of crazy FREAKS and vampires, two who are very powerful and one who is a sadist Laura.I feel almost sorry for the knights. Do they even have the full picture of what they are facing? I know I wouldn't go anywhere near that castle.
(The Freaks looks almost like werewolves. Is this only in your comic, or do Freak chips affect people differently? I'm still not quite sure how freak chips work.)
And there is Pope's picture on every parachute (like from James Bond's movies). Or naked Enrico Maxvell with rose in his teeth. Or group picture with Anderson and young Yumi and Hainkel, that distracts enemy for a few hours by (oww. So cute!).
Aww.. too bad Helena lost control. She could've ordered to retread deeper into the castle so the knight would've faced only the millennium soldiers outside. But I don't know if the structure of the castle even allows that
true true.....but then again they have to reconstantly aim their targets unless theyve done this before....because the constant drop would mess up their targets and those guns are huge...and probably weigh a bit much for those guns in knight armour to keep hefting around...plus the added weight would make even the smallest hole turn the parachute into a falling peice of cloth.
Exactly. But, then again, there are many more Crusaders in the air than freaks on the roof, so they're still dishing out many more bullets making it very difficult for the freaks to properly aim while dodging at the same time. As for their weapons....yeah, I always did wonder how they were able to wield these things so easily with armor and a shield on them too.
im guessing its only for short periods of time...plus i kinda think that after afew minutes of constantly being in that armour in battle theyll get tired and have to make rest areas...and with lots of adrenillan shots...even then that has risks...so im guesing that their doing the old napolean era trick...1 group fires while another group advances then shoots giving the frist firing squad time to rest their arms and legs while reloading their gun/halbers...seriously...even if their lightweight guns the armour wont protect against munitions unless its VERY dense and heavy...with bulletproof weaving inbetween and even then the firepower being thrown at them is bad enough to make it seem as if their wearing paper bags....
but then again theres no talking sense or logic in a zealots mind....they tend to be dumb that way...dangerous but dumb.
